The five minutes before a vet visit that change everything

A towel over the carrier, a short lead, and ten seconds of video. Small things that make a consult twice as useful.
Most of what makes a consultation useful happens before you walk in. Not the big things, the small ones.
Bring the old card, whatever state it is in
Any vaccination card, discharge note, or medicine box, even from another clinic, even years old. We would rather read someone else's handwriting than guess.
Cats travel covered
A towel over the carrier means the cat cannot see the dogs, and a cat that cannot see the dogs does not react to them. It halves the stress before we open the door.
- Short lead in the waiting room, not a retractable one
- Fresh stool sample if the visit is about digestion
- Arrive ten minutes early for the weight check
